Many small systems, utilizing microprocessors, are now being used in various fields. The need for connecting small system is increasing, which locate within a restricted area such as a single bulding, a small cluster of buldings.
Utilizing inexpensive microprocessors, we have studied a structure of the multi-loops network system, intra-loop transmission and inter-loop communication schemes. The multi-loop structure, which consists of a number of loops, has been adopted, therefore some loops can be easily added when the number of nodes increases or the traffic rate becomes higher. Each loop is controlled independently, so that trouble of one loop does not effect the other loops. The control is distributed all over the nodes and there is no centrol loop-controller.
